Nature of the Service
Anonymate is a messaging application built on Nostr, a decentralized protocol. Quest Studio Games operates no central content server: messages travel through independent third-party servers ("relays") that the developer does not own or control. Private messages and their attachments are end-to-end encrypted so that only the sender and recipients can read them, while community posts are public.
Some features, such as nearby rooms and messages over Bluetooth, connect participants' devices directly or through other nearby devices.
Requirements
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- You are responsible for keeping your cryptographic keys safe. If you lose them, no one, including the developer, can recover your identity.
Architecture and Limits
Quest Studio Games does not operate a central Nostr relay or content server. Public events are distributed by independent relays, while private messages are end-to-end encrypted. This technical fact is not a claim that Anonymate has a particular legal classification. The App can apply local safety controls and Quest Studio Games can review direct support notices, but it cannot control or remove every copy held by independent relays.
The App does run automated safety checks on your own device before an image is published or sent: a local nudity classifier, a perceptual fingerprint compared against a reference list of known harmful media, and an analysis of the caption. These checks apply only to media leaving your device: they do not extend to content published by other clients, and no media is uploaded to Quest Studio Games or to a third-party service for analysis.
User Responsibility
Each user is solely responsible for the content they create, send, publish or view, and agrees to use the App in compliance with applicable laws.
It is forbidden to use the App to share illegal content, including but not limited to: child sexual abuse or exploitation material, non-consensual intimate images, threats, incitement to violence, sale of illegal goods, fraud and copyright infringement. Privacy features are meant to protect you from other users, not to help anyone break the law.
Public Content
Communities and other public features give access to content generated by third parties. Such content:
- May not be reviewed or verified by the developer.
- Can be hidden by the user at any time.
Publishing content publicly means it is distributed across independent relays, and its complete removal from the network cannot be guaranteed. You access these sections knowingly, using the controls the App provides (Mute, Block, Hide post, Report).
Safety Features
The Security section (silent SOS, location sharing, fake call, code word, intruder photo, emergency PIN, tracker detector, Wi-Fi alert, suspicious link check and anonymous reports) is provided as an aid only. It is not an emergency service and does not replace contacting the police, an ambulance or your local emergency number.
These features depend on your phone, its battery, the network, the operating system and the other person's device. The developer does not guarantee that an SOS, a location or a report will be delivered, delivered on time, or work while the App is closed. The tracker detector is available on Android only.
Purchases
Anonymate is free to use. Anonymate Premium is an optional one-time purchase that does not renew and does not expire. Sponsored posts are consumable purchases that last for the period shown before you buy. All purchases are processed by Google Play or the Apple App Store under their terms, including their refund policies. Prices are always shown in the App and in the store before you confirm. There is no in-app currency and no way to send money between users.
Limitation of Liability
The App is provided "as is", without guarantees of availability or fitness for a particular purpose. To the extent permitted by law, Quest Studio Games is not responsible for user content or behavior, for the loss of keys, for the unavailability of relays or third-party services, or for damages resulting from use of the App. Use of the App is at the user's sole risk. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.
Reports and Control
When you report a post, the App publishes a signed report event (NIP-56) on the Nostr network. Reports may be received and displayed by compatible community moderation tools; delivery and review are not guaranteed. A post that passes the configured report threshold may be hidden automatically on your device.
NIP-56 reports are public network signals and are not direct notices to Quest Studio Games. They do not guarantee review or deletion, and Quest Studio Games cannot delete or remove content from independent relays. For a direct illegal-content notice, write to support@queststudiogames.com. Minors
Anonymate is reserved for users who are at least 18 years old. During registration the App performs a neutral age check; the date of birth entered is never stored or transmitted, only the outcome of the check remains on the device. Use by anyone under 18 is not permitted.
Intellectual Property
The App, the Anonymate name and logo belong to Quest Studio Games. Content you publish remains yours; by publishing it on a public network you allow its distribution through the protocol.
Changes
These Terms may be updated at any time. Material changes will be announced in the App. Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of the new conditions.
Governing Law and Contact
These Terms are governed by Italian law, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence. Contact: support@queststudiogames.com.
If any provision is invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
